About Me

I'm a linguist and conversational-AI thought leader obsessed with the intersections of human language cognition and technology. As an undergraduate, my focus was formal syntax, and I wrote my senior thesis on syntactic variation accross the compositional periods of the Hebrew Bible; though, I spent a significant majority of my time acting on stage, drawing, and singing a cappella.

Nowadays, my technical work remains grounded in the key insight of Linguistics: that natural language—this squishy, miraculous, deeply intuitive means by which humans think and communicate our way through the world—is systematic and rule-governed. As Lead Dialogue Designer at PolyAI, I have deployed this understanding, alongside a fair bit of grit and chutzpah, toward building best-in-class voice user experiences across healthcare, utilities, retail, logistics, and hospitality.

Most importantly, outside of my professional work, you can often find me wrist deep in oil paint, charcoal, or the soil of my latest-adopted plant child. There is a secret corner of this website devoted to my theater background if you can figure out the address
